So.. yesterday i was traveling southbound on the freeway @ 3 in the morning with very dense fog. I hear a thump and see sparks flying on the freeway, i pull over to the left shoulder and i see my gasoline pouring out like no tomorrow. I got towed and took a look at what happend in the morning, and there was a hole the size of a quarter in the fuel tank. I have no idea what I hit but the first process in fixing this, is to figure what to do now. How do I find another fuel tank, how to install it? PLease & thank you

Sparks + Fuel = No good!
Get yourself a Bentley manual, I lent mine out, otherwise I would scan those pages and send them to you.

Changing the tank is pretty straight forward. Remove the exhaust and drive shaft, disconnect the electricals and hoses from the tank, remove the bolts that hold the tank up and it will drop right out. You will need the car well up in the air on four jack stands or a lift for this job.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Most tanks at the pick and pull yards have holes in them ...it's fucking stupid..they punch a hole to drain the gas.
It's not a complicated job, but it sure isn't fun. If you were closer I would sell you my clean 89 tank for cheap.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205
