**Well first all, mauiwowi is a little high and cant spell for shit, i ment terrIble gas mileage in the title
Hello all, This is my first m20 car ( automatic 89 325ix ). Just switched from 318is, and right now could not be any more sad. I had expected the gas mileage to be a little worse but nothing like this! My car right now is averageing 11-10mpg
, 6 gallons will get me about 75-80 miles untill the gas tank is below the empty line. I know there has to be something terribly wrong, this car cant use more gas than my parents suv's. What are some good things to check for that could be giving me this terrible of gas mileage? Car just had a tune up 3 days ago to see if it would help out at all but mileage stays down.
Also i have noticed that the temp gauge will almost never leave the blue area, Is this something to worry about? All my cars in the past have kinda lingerd around the middle of the temp guage.
And lastly, sometimes when driving i hear this beeping noise coming from what seems to be somewhere near the cluster. The beep only happens 3 times in sinc, and normally wont happen more than one time any ideas to what that could be?
thanks in advance! If i cant figure these problems out i will have to ditch the car asap! Its costing way to much to drive.
