    Champion plugs?

I swear by Bosch Supers but not one damn store in my county carries them or can even get them. I say NGK as my back up plug and its like Im speaking russian. They say we dont carry NGK plugs.

So it was a decision between Champion, Autolite and Motorcraft.

Autolite and Motorcraft are known Ford plugs so I automatically said no to those. The Champion plugs were in fact copper core plugs so that was a plus and they were cheap. I am really debating on whether I should put these in or not.

You guys let me know what you think because I am in desperate need of some new plugs. Apparently Bosch no longer makes the copper cores that everyone is used to using anymore and they have been superseded with a plug I know nothing about and have no reviews on. So between a rock and a hard place I am stuck.

Let me know what you think.

Bosch W8LCR or the re-branded variant you can get from your dealer.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

they dont have any in stock and they wont for another week. Sounds weird I know but that was the answer I was getting everywhere I went.

Will the Champions do ok until I source some Bosch Supers? Thats really all IM wondering because I need to change the plugs stat

An Advance or other parts store should have Bosh +2's, which will work until you can get the right plugs.

Champions are fine and you never know the large tolerance single electrode most likely won't foul up. That is why we don't use multi-electrode in older engines.

Advanced carries NGK's, I bought some BPR6EK cheap last night 4.25 each and everywhere else wanted 5.15 and higher plus they were local.

Champion are junk, I would never run them in any of my cars.

Bosch is preferred... If not go with NGK or Denso.

I realize the options I SHOULD have had. But not one of the autoparts stores I went to had anything of that sort. The champion plugs were cheap and they are only in there to get me around until the plugs I ordered come in.

E30_fiend, where in socal are you? I had the same problem when I changed my plugs a few months ago. Pelican didn't have the right plugs, none of the BMW dealers within a 50 mile radius did, and neither did Autozone or NAPA. Earlier this year I was told that Bosch discontinued those plugs. :(

I had to settle for Champions because the NGK substitute was backordered.

Im in Ventura County. Ventura to be exact.

And I had that EXACT problem with my search for plugs. I settled on the Champion because they werent Atuotlite or Motorcraft. They couldnt even give me a time frame on when the NGKs would even come into the store again.

Shitty situation but hell they work great. No problems with them so far knock on wood. But yeah I hope to have the Bosch Supers or the like very soon. I will have to wait for money to become available to me as well though. Kinda tight these days.

How much per? if its decent then I will pick som up at Dockweiler. I can call and cancel my order at the parts place any time if I find them cheaper elsewere.

And another thing, its really hard to beat Champion plugs at 1.59 a piece.
