    m2 leaking 5w20

Anyone running 5w-20 mobile 1 run into the problem of oil seeping past the oil drain plug? I just switched to 5-w20 and after i got all the oil into the car, it started seeping past the oil drain plug at about 1 drop every 30 seconds.

    What gives?

mine leaks their even with new bolt/washer and 20w50, I ended up wrapping the drain bolt in thread tape and its been working for about 1 year.

try a new bolt and new washer. that should fix the leak.

5w20 is way too thin for San Diego. You should be using 20w50.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Got it fixed. It was a new washer, so I figured that wouldnt be it. But I drained out the oil, replaced washer with another, and put teflon tape around threads for good measure. Filled it back up with oil and no more drips.

And to clarify: i am using 20w50, the 5w20 thing was typo.
