    another kills while driving thread

Alrighty, well its an 88 325IS, its been happeing more and more lately, i will be driving down the road and it will kill the check engine light will flash and kick right back on agian 1-3 seconds later. and when im sitting at a flight at perfect idle it will stumble on itsself and kick off i dont believe it to be fuel relate and from what everyone say it is the main relay(from other posts) could it be that, an ignition coil maybe plugs or wires, i dont know any help would be great. Thanks guys Drew

Does the tach go to zero during an event? If it does look to the main relay, CPS, and wiring. If the tach doesn't drive to zero, consider the coil, C101, and fuel pump relay.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The main relay is the easiest to test: takes like 15 seconds, then drive.

My engine did that. It was the coil. I agree that the first thing to check is the main relay.

Well, that's what happens when you blindly replace things.

Diagnose the problem. Did you test the relay? The CPS is the crank position sensor and the C101 is the connector plug on the driver's side firewall under the hood, it basically lets the car talk with the engine and ECU.
