    Help!!!!!!!

Well today i did my first valve adjustment...... when i was doing the adjustment i found that i couldn't even fit the feeler gauge in between the rocker arm and valve spring...... fixed that (.010 nice and snug, not too tight)..... Well i put everything back together double checked everything...... started the car..... sounds as if the spark plugs fouled out and the ICV doesn't work anymore (idle bounces up and down now)....... I look and see that i forgot to hookup the ground...... WTF!!!!...... I hook it back up and its still making the same niose (spark plugs and ICV)......

WTF is going on....... did i not tight the rockers enough or something ARGH!!!! :???:

        what sound is that exactly?

I know what a fouled plug looks like, but.....

Did you reuse the valve cover gasket?

By your description, it sounds like you have a vacuum leak. So, the valve cover rebreather hose could also be a culprit.

kinda hard to explain but kinda like a "Dra" (like rolling your R's when speaking spanish lol) sound but going 1,000 rpm's

No I bought a new one.....

I need to check the other side of the rebreather hose.......i know i secure the side of valve cover good maybe the other side fell off.......

First, as Adrian already said, your problem waffleswaffleswaffles sound like a vacuum leak. My idle also bounces but only when I first start when the engine's cold. If you've already rechecked both the breather hose and valve cover, sorry but I can't see where else you would have a vacuum leak if it didn't exist before the job.

BTW, I've also started my first valve adjustment today but wasn't able to finish. How were you able to determine each cyclinder was at DTC w/o looking at the marker which isn't possible w/o taking the radiator out? Also, I don't have a problem loosing/tightening the exhaust side but I can't budge any of the ones on the intake side. I'm assuming you loosen same way counter clock-wise right? Other then these two issues it seems pretty straightforward. Sorry I can't help with your specific problem but I'm hoping you can help same first-timer since your now experienced :)

I'm assuming you know how to turn it over.... (i turned one of the back tires)

just look for the top of the lobe (the tallest point) to point straight down..... and as to loosen it..... you push (toward the intake mani) the intake side as to pulling (away from the intake mani) on the exhaust side....

Good luck hopefully the same ish doesn't happen to you...

                    Bump for the night......

I let it heat up..... the idle was still bouncing.....

it would idle at 1300 for a about 10 sec..... then drop to 600 (not like it was gonna die just drop....

tomorrow = cover coming off again...
