    '89+ Auto/Manual Radiator Compatibility...

I tried searching but didn't come up with much. Could have been what I searched by...

Anyway I'm looking to get a radiator for my E30 since after doing 95% of the cooling system I've found the new pressure makes the radiator leak. Coincidentally this follows the holiday season when money isn't exactly in great supply. With that in mind I've found a ton of decent used radiators that should get me by until I can swing a new one...

    The car: '89 325i 5spd
The question is: will an AUTO radiator work in a MANUAL car?
The color: Zinno (this has nothing to do with the question but I love the color...)

I believe it will as the late models have two extra spots for plugs but they aren't for hoses (I think), just sensors for the auto tranny. I think the auto will work in a manual but a manual rad won't work in an auto.

    Can anybody confirm this?

    Thanks!

You are right, that radiator is fine.

And yes, Cinnabar red is the best red, IMO.

My wife wants fresh paint on hers so bad, but it still looks hot.

Great thanks for the quick response!

I love the color as well! When I bought the car it was a chalky pink but with some serious PC'ing and product it is like new. Awesome color!

I dont know if I would trust a used radiator, when a new one isnt that expensive. I have a Performance Radiator in mine, and it was just over 120 bucks. I checked for yours and its 103 (+ shipping)

I totally agree and before you posted that link the cheapest I found Behrs and Nissens was like $220! GREAT prices on radiators that is awesome! I wonder about their quality...

I have one in my car now, and have had them in the past in other cars, with no issues. IIRC they have a 2 year warranty on them.
