    Temp/idle problem

So i always warm up my 87 325is til my idle drops to 700 then after driving a lil it will go up to 1100 and if i just let the car sit again it will drop again after a couple mins...I think something is tellin it to run rich to reach operating temp...i just changed my water pump and maybe its too efective...any help??

That could be a sticky throttle body, sticky ICV, or mis-adjusted or sticky throttle cable. Duplicate the problem and before engine speed drops back on its own, twist the throttle arm toward closed. If that drops rpm you know roughly where the problem is.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
