What size exhaust pipe

Should I use for a single pipe manifold back system? The car is emissions exempt but the engine is a late M20b25. I don't plan on doing any mods to the engine other than a chip and possibly a header down the road. I say that but things could change. For now I just want to shed some exhaust system weight and improve flow. There is a local exhaust shop that will do whatever you want for a very reasonable price and his work is excellent.

Soooo, what diameter pipe should I get and any suggestions on mufflers?

Just get a y-pipe to singe 2.5". Run a single resonator around where the cat used to be and then a single in, dual out muffler at the rear. Magnaflow is good stuff.

hey pete, nico here....if you need help makin a y pipe i can probly help i made one for my car at home cause cause every muffler shop wanted like 60 bucks so i made mine for 20 in parts and a little time cutting and welding...il be out of town until friday tho
