    Hesitation and stumble

    Car, 1987 ETA. 220KM or (135k miles)
-Not sure when the plugs, wires, O2 sensor, fuel pump or fuel filter have been changed or if ever.

    Problem:
Hesitation and stumble after the car heats up.

    Description:
The car starts as normal. Maybe 1 or 2 cranks. While cold the idle wonders + or - 300 RPM. It eventually smooths out. As I begin to drive (still cold) the car pulls normally but, sometimes has a few misfires. After about 5 min of driving and some heat is in the motor the car has fluctuating power while accelerating and while driving the power will spike for a second then subside.

    Sidenotes:
-The car is very sensitive to certain gas. After fill up's at station "A" the car will do it more than filling up at station "B".
-Though I'm having this hesitation problem, I still get good gas mileage. 28-29MPG.

try checking your plugs, wires, O2 sensor, fuel pump or fuel filter

start with the fuel filter and plugs, not expensive

I've read that if you unhook the 02 sensor, take a drive, if the hesitation disappears, I know its the O2 sensor. Is there any truth to that statement?

        start with fuel filter

check for fuel pressure, something like 41-43 psi is needed i think.

pull a spark plug and look at it. takes 15 seconds.

        check your icv maybe?

is your check engine light on?

          Update.
I checked the plugs. Two of them were fouled up.
My dads been wrenching on cars for a long time and he seemed to think it was because of oil in the chamber (white crusty shit around the electrode). Any ideas where it could be coming from? When I start the car theres no big puff of smoke so I guess it's not the valve guides. I use 15W-40 oil.

After I cleaned the plug and took the car for a drive it cleared the misfire However I do still have the wandering ideal and slight hesitation and bursts while driving.

You may have a vacuum leak that's causing the wandering idle. Spray some carb cleaner around the different vac. hoses to see where, idle will steady up somewhat when leak is momentarily sealed. If that's not conclusive, lean over fender when idling and put both hands on valvecover, if idle improves you'll need to replace the valvecover gasket, or just snug down the hold down nuts till a new gasket arrives.

Oil fouling is usually black and kinda wet, depending on how bad the valveguides are.

While I didn't take any pictures of the actual plugs they did look like this:

Any idea what would cause that
