lol well i dont know what happened. I can say that what i can see of the valve train through the fill cap is incredibly clean, so at very least it had the head cleaned and rebuilt.
I'll let you know what head it has when i can see the stamp. Then, there will be pics... or ban-There are two undeniable truths in the tuning world; No matter how much money you put into that Honda, it's still a Honda, and no matter how little I put into My bimmer , It's still a bimmer.-

The headstamp will make or break the PO's story. If nothing else I got a rebuilt b27. At best I got a ghetto swapped seta lol.-There are two undeniable truths in the tuning world; No matter how much money you put into that Honda, it's still a Honda, and no matter how little I put into My bimmer , It's still a bimmer.-

Pull the plastic down in the glove box and tell us the last three numbers on the DME. Someone already mentioned it, but lay on your back on the ground and look up at the large crank pulley right behind the radiator. Does it have a bunch of teeth around the outside? If so it's an i motor. There is no way you could run an eta harness with that harmonic balancer so at best that would confirm the i motor and management.

But, the consensus seemed to be that it may have been possible. If you're certain a b25 will not run on a b27 dme, then thats a lot easier to look for than a greasey stamp on the head.

Drumroll please............................ no. Its just a rebuilt b27 e motor waa waa waaaa. The good news is that since it is, its a 2.7 and I can now start my turbo build, knowing what im starting with. I have to say though, that it certainly doesnt feel slow, and since i've recently driven an i motor for a long time(philly to new haven ct), I can really feel the difference between the 2 engines personalities. In cities, the b27(at least a recently rebuilt one) is way more fun because of the torque in the lower revs. The b25 is faster on highways though-There are two undeniable truths in the tuning world; No matter how much money you put into that Honda, it's still a Honda, and no matter how little I put into My bimmer , It's still a bimmer.-
