What to do about C104 is totally determined by what car you have. If the car has a C104 (up to 8/87) and you are swapping in a later engine harness that lacks C104, you need to modify the harness to add a C104 connector. If you have a late car that lacks C104 you need to use a late engine harness.
Do not connect the tach signal to the coil. The tach signal from the DME is a 0-5 square wave and the higher voltage from the coil may fry the tach. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i have an 87 with the c104. so dont connect the green/tach wire(body side) to the coil. on the later harness(89 i believe) will the green wire from the 3 wire harness be the tach signal i need?Originally posted by FerdinandI carry a cheap pressure gauge in my glovebox with which to manually check my tire pressures, but I keep forgetting that in the USA glovebox space is sacred as it is reserved exclusively for the purpose of storing handguns.
