    e30 build help

Im planning on taking the m20 out of my 325is. I was wondering is there any way to pull the motor without takng out the tranny. i will be putting a new m20 in its place. Can this be done or will it be alot easier to just pull eveything. Also i am having my flywheel lightend but is it also possible to have the heavy vibration dampener on the front of the crank shaved too. Any advice welcome

yes, you can remove the engine alone

and I'm not too sure that anyone has shaved the front damper with much success... its not that heavy anyway
