    stroking ,,,, eta or IS?

    Help clear something up for me....

    Does it make sense to stroke an e30is with the 2.5l engine?

    Or does it only make sense for the eta engines?

    also,,,,

    Does anyone know how Alpina made the B3 2.7?

    Is it a compiled list of parts similar to what people seem to want to do in "stroking" their engines? Or is it something all together diffrent?

    Ive been searching to find out if this is something Id be interested in doing someday but it seems to be alot of mixed reviews and no solid answers.

    A.) pull your head outta yer ass
    B.) start taking ritalin or stratera and re-read the article
    C.) You didn't read the article at all
    D.) You have absolutely NO idea what you are doing and should stay very far away from any E30 and buy a VW

    FYI, I am building one of these motors now soooo I "may" know what I am talking about... I could be wrong... But I doubt it.

      anyone would answer the first 3 questions shortly and correctly?
      also would like to know original posters questions

      not e to 2.7i
      but 325i to 327i

      not whats worth it in your opinion but facts to prove output differences please!!

          these are the answer im looking for.

          ok for the weaker ones:

          if you had a 1991 bmw e30 325i
          and you wanted to build a 327i
          with:
          85 eta crank
          85 eta rods
          88 pistons(new)
          the block shell is a 91
          What would be the difference?I read through 20 threads and no solid answer for hp/tq/cr/clearance/difficulties if any.
