Same ol' eta stumbling acceleration.....but different

or maybe not different, i'm not sure...

Anyhow, my eta has some acceleration loss usually above 4k rpms, if i let out of the gas and punch it, 50% of the time it gets up a little more, then lags again a few rpms later. Sometimes, by a miracle, it revs straight through and it's halfway decent. Today i was trying to see if it was just in my head, but the strange thing is this...

I have an ebay chip, so it revs out to 5500 rpms. today in third gear i was driving and holding the accelerator most of the way down and it was pulling normally until about 4000 rpms, then it slacked off, then way up at about 5200, it began to pull hard again right near the end before it met the limiter.

I have replaced the fuel filter, and the wires, and plugs, and the air filter.

I plan to unplug the o2 sensor and see if that changes anything.

My next step will be checking the fpr, then the fuel pump, then checking into the distributor, i've heard the 330 or 320 distributor is better. maybe new coil. It drives decently, but it's just no fun to have it bogging on my when i want to have some fun on a curvy back road :(

Maybe maf or tps? It can only be so many things............

sometimes on a cold start it will bog right after i start to drive, like it's gonna stall, then it has no more trouble.

in all honesty, it seems very much like fuel, spark, or a/f mixture.

    Help from a pro please.
Working...
