SETA Question

Quick question in there a way to find out by the block numbers or castings in it if the car is a SETA Block?

I ask because i just bought a parts car and is a 1988 and has the i harness motronic and I crank refference sensor but the intake manifold has the cold start injector. Also th owner said the car reved to 6,500....??? It has an I cluster.. but the engine was from another 1988 car that was totalled...

Should be able to tell by the intake manifold shape and/or if it has single valve springs.

The Super Eta does run the i harness and Motronic system with a different ECU. It does not have a cold start injector though and uses the same ICV as an i car would use. The Super Eta engine uses an i valve cover with an Eta intake manifold.

You can always get the VIN off the block and see what it comes back as...

Where is the vin on the block... there are a few numbers in different places?

There is/was a VIN sticker down by where the distributor block off is in the block.
