    325i Engine Stuttering

    Hi,
specs; 89 325i, k&n, no cat, ansa sport, schatz and krum chip

This problem started out only on warm-up, but today it's not going away.

After starting up the car, around 3000rpm it would stutter and I would get kind of a pulsating emission from the exhaust.

After driving it below 3000 rpm for 10 minutes or so that would stop and the car would be great.

Today that happened but it didn't stop. I replaced the chip with the stock chip but it didn't go away.

If I'm gentle on the gas it will kind of not happen, but with any type of acceleration beyond 20% it happens.

What's going on here? plugs? injectors? chip? filter?

    check these descending order.
    1.) intake for vacuum leaks
    2.) plugs
    3.) plug wires
    4.) Distro cap & rotor
    5.) physical ECU (unlikely)
    6.) Injectors

Well, just for shits and giggles, check the connector that plugs into your AFM. Friend of mine had a similar, though not the same, problem and it ended up that one of the connections on the afm was all bent out of shape.

Sounds like electrical timing. Check the wires and plugs.

IF I have to replace the plugs or wires, what's the recommended wires and plugs for an upgrade from stock?
