My '88 m20b25 starts easy when cold, but has to crank 4 or 5 seconds when hot along with a boot to the gas pedal. I know this is a common deal with old m20's. Engine is stock except for 19lb injectors and the MarkD chip for those, compression is good on all pots, and all the normal tune-up stuff is fairly fresh.
