    325i expansion tank

Quick question - how does the 325 expansion tank (the one that is mounted on the driver's side fenderwell) mount? I'm putting one in my M3, and the only thing I can come up with is that maybe there is a bracket welded in on the 325s that I don't have. Can anyone confirm or deny?

    Thanks!

    Chase

EDIT: Also, on 325s with cruise control, where is the cruise unit itself mounted? Mine is currently smack dab where the tank needs to go.

With a little bracket that snaps into the bottom of the expansion tank. The plastic bracket #10 sits on a stud.

Did you try looking on realoem?

Part #10 - 17111719190 holds the expansion tank.

Yes. There is a bracket welded near the ABS pump that holds the late model M20 coolant expansion tank. It is the same bracket as the one that secures the windshield washer tank.

        PN is 41141871979

There is also a weld screw that a plastic part mounts to, similar to the one that secures the windshield washer tank that holds the rear of the tank down. I have not been able to track down a PN for the weld screw. Jean has supplied the PN for the rear mount.

I'm not sure how the cruise control mounts.

Thanks guys. I looked on RealOEM and saw 17111719190 but I also suspected there was another bracket that mounted it as well. The PN that Fred gave was what I was missing.

Still wondering about the cruise if anyone knows.

          THanks!

both my '88 s-eta and my '89 325i have criuse, and they both mounted to the same bracket the airbox does, via the same stud and nut too.
