    Yes. but don't worry, those valves aren't that easy to bend, unless you were jumping on that crank bolt with a 3 foot breaker bar. even then...

    Kind of hard to explain but try turning the crankshaft a bit counter clockwise (away from binding) to clear the valves, and then give the cam some clockwise movement to change which valves are open, and after it moves from where it was originally, try moving the crank again.

      if the belts still on and it ran before, youre not getting piston to valve contact now. the cam/crank would have to rotate independent of one another for that to happen, i.e. the belt being off/breaking.
