    Super ETA year made?

Looking at buying an engine from a guy who claims that it's a 1988 2.7L ETA engine that red lines at around 5K. (I know Super ETA redline at 5300) But says that it's from a 325e and is not a Super ETA engine. I thought that in 1988 all 325e engines were Supers? Is this true?

I guess when it comes down to it what should I be looking for to tell if the engine is a Super, more specifically in pictures? Since this guy seems unsure and I have't seen any pics yet.

He is supposed to be sending me pics on Monday night and I'll post them up for you guys to take a look at.

the seta intake manifold will look different from both the e and i intake manifolds. and the head will be stamped 2.5 / 2.7 on the side.
