    oil rod/tube .(m20b25)

    Alright so yesterday i was replacing the oil pan i took out the oil pump and oil rod/tube w.e you guys call it and the little washers from both sides managed to crack or where crack already and just fell off..
    are these nessecary or can i just put on the oil tube back on and the oil pumpo and pan so i can finally start my engine??

    I would say those are needed. And since the oil pump is a rather critical part of the engine it would make no sense not to get the parts.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      alright this is wierd i get a different message you post up on my email...
      would generic orings work in this situation or should i just get oem?

        It would be best to get the OE parts and I'm betting that they will be inexpensive.

        Did we exchange PM's about this? I don't remember. It is possible that I thought you were talking about the oil return tube in the PM.

          You can see the price in realoem is $0.15 - seems an obvious choice to me.
