    fack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think i have an electrical issue. just completed an engine swap on my 89 325is. went to fire it up last week and the starter turned a few degrees then stopped. the fuel pump goes on for a few seconds and cuts out too. i attached a bat. charger directly to the starter and it rotates the engine fine. i know the battery is charged and the connections that i know of in the wire harness are tight. any advice is welcome. does it sound like i should see a specialist.

What happens if you connect the battery charger to the battery? A poor connection at the battery, starter, or the ground strap from the engine to frame could cause the problem.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Engine ground or perhaps some corrosion, etc. in the C101 connector, assuming you played with it during the swap.
