    Curil T?

Anyone know if there is a good equivalent to Curil T?

I am changing the rear main seal on my M20 and a few people have mentioned using Curil T on the outside of the seal. The local parts store doesn't have it, and I don't want to do this job twice.

    Thanks!

im sure any non-hardening sealant would do. I know arp makes some kind of non-hardening sealant (white in color, paste like texture) for use on their studs for blocks that have threads going into the coolant jacket.

        Thanks for the replies.

Is it even necessary to put anything on the outside of the seal? I have replaced seals before and never used any type of sealant.
