    Miller MAF but no spark...

    Hey all,
Just bought another zinno vert, bought it real cheap because it wouldn't start.

There is power to the ignition coil, and the crank position sensor checks out fine. visual inspection of plugs and wires was fine, and before taking the distributer apart, i thought i'd ask if any of you have had a similar problem.

The car has a Miller intake/MAF and i don't have experience with it... the ecu has some wires chopped (i found out this is part of the miller install) but i'm having trouble pinpointing where the spark is lost. I tested the ecu in my other car and it fires right up, no problem.

    Any ideas??

When cranking over is spark present from the coil output? No spark would suggest a lack of power to the DME, a lack of timing data to the DME, a bad coil, or a wiring problem between the coil and DME.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

This would concern me, as there is no need for a lot of modification to the ecu loom for the MAF install.

See page 9. If they didn't anything more than that (or cut the the wrong wires), that'd be the place to start troubleshooting.

There should not be any chopped wires, simply one wire spliced onto another to get the power to the MAF.

+1. I have the miller MAF. I know form playing around during install that if you f*up the splicing of the wire, or the MAF doesnt get power, then the car wont run.

Check voltage at the MAF plug, theres a how-to on the TS section of Millers site for the MAF conversion.
