    shift arm broke...need help

    does anyone know how to disconnect the shift arm from the top of the tranny, cant figure it out, can it be done while tranny still in car? diagram would be awesome, its can move up and down and has a bearing inside it for smoothness, I'm stomped

      get your finger in there and feel for the opening of the circlip. point that upwards. then get in there with a stubby and get it on the inside of the bottom of the clip, just under the selector rod pivot. pry that fucker off. buy a new one because you'll never find it lol
