just need a clear answer, e bottom i top

In terms of building a simple m20 for a turbo setup. An E bottom end, meaning e block, crank, rods, pistons with a i head on it.

Will the piston hit the valves or will I end up with the low compression I want for a turbo.

I know this has been talked to death but I want a clear answer please, I have heard it both ways and they seem to contradict

Great set up great for turbo's, just one thing replace piston rings will make the motor run stronger.
