changed my timing belt, now its leaking coolant.

I changed 4 timing belts in the last couple of weeks, I have just started to notice my iC is leaking coolant.

I want to say that its coming from the water pump because I dont see a leak from anything.

what could I have bumped or screwed up when doing the timing belt?

can I change a waßerpump without screwing over my 15 day old timing belt job?

Check your hoses/clamps again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. I swear.

Clean up where you see the coolant, then have your buddy rev the motor and track down where it leaks. Repeat these steps.

Took me a good while till I found out I had a rotten hose from a hidden hose under the thermostat housing.

I shall do that. I'm sure you're right though -- I un-did every hose clamp in the system to do the t-belt

I did my timing belt , didnt use RTV silicone sealant(many have success without using it, I didn't) It leaked from the mating surface between the water pump and the block. I had to tear it all apart and redo it using a new gasket on the water pump and some RTV . Certainly annoying, but not a huge deal in retrospect.

+1... Happened to me too. I used RTV the second time and problem fixed.

But did you remove it and reinstall? And yes, you can remove the WP without messing with the TB.

No RTV for me and no leak. I have not put many miles on the car, just a few up the street and back.

if I could get the damn nuts off the exhaust, I would be in process.

I love the car but I just can't stand automatics. the water pump is the least of my worries, thats only 3 or so hours to completely re-do.

having an auto trans makes that job a lot harder too. stupid a/t cooler lines.

what parts did you say you were missing for your swap? I have my ES manual parts car as well as all the parts i need to do mine.

I need everything but pedals and a g260. I have a few of each.

                      Meaning I need:
                      Driveshaft
                      Master
                      Slave
                      Lines

I still have a drive shaft from the ES, the boot around the CSB is cracking but it certainly isnt failed yet and thats not expensive or hard to change

                        I have a master
                        I have a slave
I may have an extra hard line (NLA new), the soft lines are available still.

my vert' is looking so lonely out on the driveway :'(

You talking about the nuts that bolt the manifold to the block? Mine were so rusted as soon as i put a wrench on it a few crumbled. I am going to dremmel the nuts off and use vise grips to get the stud off once the manifold is off. I got everything to replace it all for like $10

Hard to believe you bought the proper studs for that price. Where did you get them?

                            Manifold hardware isn't cheap.

Do This. I had a leak after changing the radiator, and it was because the clamp on the hose coming from the water pump wasn't tight enough. Those clamps down there are a serious bitch to tighten properly due to tight space.
