I didn't know about the stop test... Thank You E30_fiend! A quick forum search got me the info I needed to do it (thanks e30world!) and I got a "1221" which is:

221EGO Sensor #11221 - Fault related to Oxygen ( O2 ) sensor is present if the sensor is unplugged, bad / not-operational, or sensor values are out of range. Test the O2 sensor for proper operation, as well as check harness connections by the sensor and by the battery tray in the engine compartment.
This gives me a place to start! I'll report back with my findings. I do have one small, back of my mind thought: Since I have never known about this test or seen the CEL come on, I wonder if the code was already there before this incident? Probably not, but I thought it.

Did you try the stomp test I Got It? Takes less than a minute to do and you're sitting in the comfy driver's seat. Here is the link that I found:

So my problem was the AFM. I did an ohms test and found a flat spot right near fully open. I bent the contactor arm inside and now have no problem!!!
