    idle problem....help!!!

    sup guys..
so I have a 84 325e and around 5 months ago I cracked my oil pan so I took it off and my car sat in the garage for a couple months until I got a new one,I put it on today and fired it up and the idle was really bad,it revs fine but at idle speed it starts to choke and stall. When I rev the engine I can hear a slight ticking on the distributor cap but wasnt sure if that was normal or not.It ran killer before I put the pan on and..I would appreciate any advice.

That is probably a combination of aged gas and intake leaks introduced during the pan replacement.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I thought it might be something coming loose from when I jacked the motor up.

I had the same problem. Turned out 2 intake gaskets were shot.
