Fuel guage reads half full while empty

I just completed my e to i swap and now my furl guage reads half full when empty. I did some searching and learned that the later tanks have 2 pumps/senders and the resistance between the two in series gives you the fuel level. Is there a way to fix this using the old tank and senders. I have 2 senders that both work but not giving me the correct readout.

I'm confused. You swapped an "I" engine into an "E" car right?
You saying you swapped gas tanks too? Why would the senders or anything to do with the tank change if all you swapped was the engine?

No gas tank swap just the engine, wiring harness, and cluster. My tank=old style. The cluster is from a 91 car which would of had the newer tank with dual pumps/sending units.

You need to swap the fuel gage in the i cluster with the one from your e cluster.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
