    spark plug wire symptoms?

ok i came back from doing some errands, parked, went inside.
went to start the car a couple hours later, engine cranks and cranks but wont turn over. jumping it doesnt help.
i can hear the fuel pump humming and stuff, all pre-start noises are there.

engine has ran fine till this point. i just replaced the cps a month or two ago.

spark plugs are recent, cap and rotor are recent, good voltage off the battery. i tried a different fuel pump relay as well as a main relay, and even a different ecu just for the hell of it. no change.

does this sound like the wires? do they just up and fail like this with no warning?

im at a loss as to what it could be.

The first check would be to see if you have spark at the plugs when cranking the engine. If not check for spark at the coil out. No spark would suggest a problem with the coil or coil power, CPS, DME or DME power.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

is the car an eta? there is a timing sensor on the transmission bell housing. if that's not working or disconnected there will be no spark. on newer cars(i's) it's on the front of the engine on the harmonic balancer
      Much wow

Check to see if there is power to the coil positive terminal. If there is, what I said earlier applies.
