sounds like a diesel and smells like clutch :/

Basically, the car sat for a month and a half, wasn't started regularly because I was away. After a bit of a fuss I got it going again, but now it sounds like it's running on two or so cylinders (even though it's running on all of them). Also, the smell of clutch fills the interior after a bit of driving... but the clutch feels fine. Any ideas on what broke during a month of sitting?

The misfires could be any of a number of things, with intake leaks at the top of the list. A smoke test is the way to find them. The hot clutch smell is probably a clutch that isn't fully engaging. In rare cases that can be a problem with the clutch hydraulics, but more commonly it will be the result of a worn out clutch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
