87 i motor into 90 chassis, wiring at ECU plug

hello

just had to put a motor from an 87 into my 90 spec e30 chassis, there is nowhere to plug in the flat 3 plug that is near the ECU plug...so as I read thru some threads,, is the easiest thing to just put the 90 harness on the 87 motor??

You need to use the harness that matches the car. In this case the 1990 harness from your old motor.

Yes! Definitely use the car's original engine harness.
