I'm rebuilding an i motor and one of the things it didn't come with is the check valve system that comes from the brake booster.

The car that the motor is going into is an earlier e model with the check valve that runs straight into the intake/TB (no offshoot to the intake boot).
My question is, can I get away with putting a T fitting after the e check valve and run one side into the throttle body and the other side into the intake hose?
At first I assumed I couldn't do this, but when I looked at the port where the top hose connects to the TB in the illustration, I noticed that it was a dead end.
