    Fuel pump electrical issue...

So I have spark. Car runs with starter fluid, took the line out. No gas is being displaced from the pump to the engine. I replaced the fuel filter hoping that was it. It wasn't. Still no pressure. So I bridged the relay and put the key in the on position. The bridge wire I have has a LED on it. The light didn't go on. There is NO power going threw that relay. Only thing I haven't checked is the 50amp on the positive wire... Also my wipers suddenly died a few days before the fuel pump stopped pumping...The relay for that must also be dead? Any insight would be much appreciated.

It would be a help to know what car you have. Power to the fuel pump relay can be direct from the DME power cable or via the main relay, depending on the car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

My bad, it's a 1985 325e. The fuse is indeed blown. Looks like it corroded out, didn't blow. At the time of the port I was running on 3 hours of sleep over 2 days haha. Woops. My new plan is to solder in a normal 50amp fuse because I don't have time to wait 10 days for delivery of the special one.

The easy solution to a bad fusible link is to splice the cable, eliminating the fuse. Then get a 60 lug-type fuse from an auto parts house. Fasten one lug to the stud on the power block where the DME power cable goes and fasten the DME power cable to the other lug.

I just soldered in a 50a fuse similar to the original. Still nothing. I don't think the relay is even getting power...Should I replace all the relays? It seems like its getting a tiny amount of gas. Almost runs on its own.

I checked the terminals on the fuel pump relay and no current goes through it. Now what the hell do I do : /

With the ignition on, power should be present at pins 86 & 30 of the relay socket. If that isn't happening you'll have to trace back towards the battery to find out why. The wiring diagrams at http://wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm will be helpful.
