Oil Leaking from Exhaust Manifold Studs?

Seems like after I finally got my m20 2.7 stroker built and running im leaking oil from the exhaust manifold stud on the very front of the motor. the very first stud is leaking oil. Is this possible? Maybe run a different oil weight? Im running 10w-30 since I figured its completely rebuilt...Anyone had this problem?

You're still going to want to run 20w50.

It might be dripping off of the stud, but it's not leaking from it.

The exhaust manifold stud holes are blind. Therefore oil can't leak from the stud holes and the leak is from somewhere else.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Sounds like a valve cover gasket

Yes, 20w50. Though I doubt it will solve the leak. Get under you car and find where it's leaking.

changing oil will not stop a leak, you should try to pin point it. All you have to do is find the highest point of the leak to know what it is. Make sure when your checking you have lots of light, and as levie said, no oil cant come out of the stud.

If worst comes to worst, use a little dye before your next oil change that really helps to find leaks but I dont want to go recommend putting anything in your motor other than oil, i just know from work we use it alot and it works great.

Yeah I think it might be the cam seals since the fan could be pushing the oil towards the exhaust stud...but I just wanted to make sure Ill be using the right oil. 20w50 on my oil change.

a leaky cam seal would be shielded by the timing case. Did you replace the four little rocker shaft plugs?
