    coolin issue

I couldn't really narrow it down buy searching. But here is my problem the car is fine when driving just a needle below half way but when I stop at a light for maybe more then a minute or two it starts to creep up right between the 1/2 and 3/4 mark and it stays there until i drive again. what might my problem be?

Fan clutch or your fan temp switch, friend.

Can you stop the mechanical fan with a rolled up newspaper when the car is running?

Have you recently done work to your coolant system and needed to bleed it? If the switch checks out, maybe its time too clean your system out.

I cant stop the fan while its running. I did the water pump but that was kind of awhile ago and it was fine up until a few weeks ago, system is bled I know that for sure.

Sounds like your aux fan isn't turning on then.

The aux fan is only needed when A/C is in use and the car is stationary or moving slowly. If the engine is running hot when idling w/o A/C, the first suspect would be the fan clutch, followed by the thermostat and then a partially plugged radiator.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

tstat, it's like 25 bucks, takes 5 minutes to swap out, and yours is probably original. might as well replace it, if nothing else for peace of mind and to eliminate it as a variable.
