I couldn't really narrow it down buy searching. But here is my problem the car is fine when driving just a needle below half way but when I stop at a light for maybe more then a minute or two it starts to creep up right between the 1/2 and 3/4 mark and it stays there until i drive again. what might my problem be?

The aux fan is only needed when A/C is in use and the car is stationary or moving slowly. If the engine is running hot when idling w/o A/C, the first suspect would be the fan clutch, followed by the thermostat and then a partially plugged radiator. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

tstat, it's like 25 bucks, takes 5 minutes to swap out, and yours is probably original. might as well replace it, if nothing else for peace of mind and to eliminate it as a variable.Originally posted by DozyproductionsYou know why you're drinking that Pabst? No its probably not because it was the first beer you grabbed. It's because you're a winner.
