    86 325 won't start

My e30 has been sitting for a few monthes. When i try to start it, the engine turns but it won't fire up.

I tried spraying engine starter fluid in the intake and it still wouldn't crank. Does that mean that it isn't getting spark?

The car was parked with a few gallons of 93 in it and I added 5 more gallons thinking that it was too low on fuel. My fuel gauge doesn't work below the half mark.

What parts would fail from sitting?

Pull a plug & wire and check for spark when cranking the engine.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

In that case look to the main relay, timing reference sensors, or fusible link.

i believe thats the front brake pad wear sensor connector.

since its an eta, check to make sure the front crank sensor is gapped properly. i had an issue with starting and once i decreased the gap from a few inches to a few mm it starts up fine everytime
              ?

That is the connector for the wheel speed sensor.

ok, the main relay is the one in the middle on the auxillary relay bracket?

is there a way to test if it's bad?
