wont start

i did an engine swap. an m20 from an 88 325is to a 89 325is. I went to start the engine and all i get is the starter turning the engine over. I get no spark at the coil and the fuel pump doesnt go. If i take out the fuel pump relay and bridge the contacts with a peice of wire i can get the pump to work when i turn the key. Im at a loss. i believe everything is hooked up right. Any advice is welcome.

Check to see if you have the CPS and CylId connectors swapped.

checked those two and they are hooked up right. it sounds like a crank sensor problem. do u think the sensor itself could be faulty
