Help: E30 stuck clutch pedal to floor; squeaking from rear of engine/tranny

    i just picked up a 1987 325i with a friend with a clutch issue:

the clutch pedal is to the floor and stuck there, there's maybe an inch or two of play and it can't be pulled back up to the height of the brake pedal.

there is a very loud squeaking coming from the rear of the engine once the car is started. it's most likely coming from the transmission/bell housing

    i'm assuming it's either a master cylinder/pressure plate/clutch disc/or throwout bearing problem.

has anyone had a problem like this before? need some specific thoughts, thanks all

That sounds like there is a problem inside the bell housing. Deal with that first and see if the clutch pedal then works normally.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
