from time to time my 86 eta gives me a hard time starting. always starts but once a week or so needs some cranking. also stalls ocasionally while driving. if i hit the gas she will pick right back up with no restart needed. i can usually tell when it is going to happen . when normal, she idles at 900 and when she is going to start her shit, she will drop to 700 and a while later, like a few miles, will do the stall thing. could this be the tps or maybe the cts? would that effect the car while warm and driving? and also ocasionally when cold or can i have 2 seperate problems? same question for the csv. i am not experienced at electrical testing so a little help as to where to begin my search would be appreciated.

It's hard to understand what you are describing in your compilation of words.
Does the problem get better or worse once the engine has warmed up? You might want to check for vacuum leaks, and make sure the alternator is in proper working order. Those are two quick things that can be checked. Your local parts store can check the charging system. You can check for intake/vacuum leaks by spraying the hoses with some sort of multi purpose lubricant.-tim

I had a similar issue. You should put some dry gas into your tank to get all the moisture out, also some fuel injector cleaner wouldn't be a bad idea. If that doesn't work, chances are your fuel pump is going, or there is air being sucked into the line, or the line is clogged. Since you have to crank it I'm going to assume that its a gas leak. Check the line for cracks. I just did my fuel pump, was only 140$ for a Bosch and I hardly shopped around. Also check the spark plugs for proper gaping and all that nonsense. Who knows you might just need a tune up.
