    tps question

question, would a faulty tps cause the car to cut off at highway speeds but when it does if you hit the gas she picks right back up again, i guess i liken it to a pop the clutch start. she is also occasionally giving me a hard start problem. she has no out of the ordinary fuel pump noises and runs like a top, extreemly strong and smooth when not acting up. could the icv or csv be the problem at driving speeds or would they only affect cold start and idle issues?

The TPS on our cars is merely an idle switch and a full throttle switch. It has no interaction with the ECU at part throttle. I would check for loose connections such as the fuel injector wiring harness.

+1, Though I'd include the fuel relay, main relay, and fusible link in the list of things to check.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
