ok, so i got most of it back together. need to put the drive shaft back in and the exhaust back on. We let the lift down and i jumped in to see if the shifter worked and pressed the clutch and it was on the floor, so i puled it back with my foot and pressed again and it was hard. Does the system have to be bled? also after putting all of the shifter and linkage in i tried to shift it and it seemed to be a little off. like i tried to put it in reverse and i didn't seem to have enough room to push it all the way to the left and then up... any suggestions?

Pic update
Crappy puller i got from Advanced Auto. I had to file it down just so it would grab onto the bearing. Still got full price when i returned it, the guy never looked at it.
Yes, i need new transmission mounts...
All back in
also took off the manifolds and sandblasted them and painted them.

nice. do the proper break in with your clutch and enjoy. I had to buy a new flywheel when I did my clutch because it was past the minimum thickness. It was part of the reason the clutch wasn't grabbing as well as it should have.'84 318i M10B18 147- Safari Beige
