    m20 cam and intake help

hi guys i have an 88 325. so my make year was 09/87. now idk if the motor was the superETA or the eta. my intake manifold is the smallest ones. i have good get up and go but its just not quick enough. so if i could get an idea if i could put a mild cam in it and put the 325i/is intake manifold and do a full exhaust and chip to get some good power out of it.

i already have put on 325is throttle body, velocity stack intake replacing one high beam, and using 93 525i m50 dual cam vanos injectors.

and i would like to know how to or where i can get a wire diagram to put in the mafs conversion.

You probably have a s-eta. If you use a 325i cam, make sure you drill out the three extra oil passages and use 325i valvesprings.

i do believe i have the super eta motor. is there a difference between the 325i cam and the 325is cam?

what about the intake manifold? can i use the 325i/is bigger intake manifold without a problem because i know mines a different shape so i have to make sure it will bolt on without a problem.

i have one more question about the head. can i just put a complete 325i/is head on my s-eta motor? and will it raise my compression?

nope, the "i" and "is" engines are 100% the same

        bolts right up

yes, but compression will be the same @ 8.5:1

wow thanks alot. you just helped me out so much. im going to get the intake manifold, cam, and valve springs and port the head a little myself to match up to the intake manifold. i appreciate it.

oh i had a thread up for m50 swap and i have not gotten any answers. i have a complete swap. i know everything needed but idk how to or where to get a wire diagram to wire up the m50 to my wire harness.
