strange idle question...

hey guys,

Learning a lot about this engine and definitely enjoying it!
One thing I have noticed lately is a bit of a strange idle. Whenever the car is cold in the morning the idle is a bit low (or what seems normal) around 800rpms. Once the car gets up to operating temp and has been driven a bit, it likes to hover around 1200-1300rpm. It doesn't flutter at all and driving is great. Not sure what these engines naturally like to idle at? More of a curious thread than anything. Thanks for any replies!

My first suspicion would be intake leaks. Have a shop run a smoke test on the intake.

The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
