    E34 m20

    A local salvage yard I attribute to most of my car's current status is getting bought out. They are your typical u pull it with stupid low prices. As of October 1st they are getting bought out and the prices are going way up.

    There is an e34 525i with a clean 88K M20 Auto. I was wondering if I could pull the head, intake manifold and electrics for my 2.7i build or are there differences from the e30 and the e34?

    I plan on heading over there this evening if everything is usable so any help would be appreciated. According to thier price lists, I can grab nearly everything I need for $60. I am fairly certain that I can't use the wiring harness though as it's an auto.

    In the event that someone would ask, I have an '86 eta and I plan on rebuilding my bottom end with super eta pistons.

    they are the same as for the engine parts, but I'n not 100% sure the harnesses are the same

      I figured I would leave the harness out of the equasion and just pick one up from the classifieds. Thanks for the help.

        While not get the whole engine. You'll have to change the harness and DME anyway for a "budget stroker" and an 88k mile M20B25 is going make more power than the hybrid.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          ^ maybe more than a regular eta and "i" head combo, but s-eta "strokers" tend to as well as an "i" on the top end

            I'm pretty set on building the stroker. I'll be grabbing the parts this evening. Getting the entire motor is possible but will require two trips as the only thing I have to carry the parts in is my e30. That is, IF I can manage to carry a fully assembled block by myself. If I had a way to get the whole thing I certainly would.
