m20 bottom end prep

I picked up a vert a few days ago and the head was pulled when I bought it. The block looks like it was cleaned with something too abrasive. When I look closely I can see small scratches and scrub marks. Will this be a problem? I feel like it will be.

What part of the block are you referring to? If its inside the cylinders that would be the cylinder bore cross hatching which is supposed to be like that.
