    bad Idle problem!!!!!!!

I have an 84 325e That ran great until I changed the oil pan. When I bought it the previous owner had cracked the pan but patched it so I finally got around to changing it.I went the loosening the motor mounts and jacking up the engine route rather than drop the rack. Now it runs like shit, when I start it the idle fluctuates and slowly mellow's out but it's super low, almost stalling.I replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor but didnt help.Did I possibly damage something when I jacked the motor up? I cant figure it out.Any advice would be appreciated...

More than likely you introduced an intake leak during the work. An obvious candidate would be the intake boot.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If you have an spark wire hooked up backwards your car might run and idle but very rough. Your car can also run with a sensor not hooked up so if you ICV is not plugged in it might run but low, same with your ARM.

The only conclusive test for intake leaks is to have a smoke test run.

Yep. If you get the chance though, check the vacuum line from the charcoal canister to the bottom of the throttle bottom. Mine came undone when I did my oil pan
