whats your rpms at 60 in 5th gear, i get 3k.... is that normal

3.73 diff 60mph 3k rpm??

For a 3.73 and an overdrive trans (.81 fifth, stock transmission for an M20 car), you should be seeing about 3400rpm at 80 and about 2600rpm at 60 in fifth gear. If you've got a 3.73 with a direct-drive trans (1:1 fifth, E36 or E30 dogleg transmissions) then you should see about 3200rpm at 60 and 4300rpm at 80.
If you've got a G240 and a 4.10 (a 318i/is setup) you'll be at about 2900rpm at 60 and 3800rpm at 80.Last edited by Wh33lhop; 10-05-2010, 11:36 AM.paint sucks
